Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia - "Belonging, Being & Becoming. This is the new national early learning framework for children from birth to five years.
The framework's visions is for all children to experience PLAY- BASED learning that is engaging and builds success for life.
At Le Fevre kindergarten the framework will be used in partnership with families to develop learning programs responsive to children's interests, strengths and abilities and recognise that children learn through their play.
Through the framework, staff will assist children to develop
- A strong sense of their identity
- Connections with their world
- A strong sense of wellbeing
- Confidence and involvement in their learning
Our Centre curriculum priorities are literacy, numeracy, student well-being and environment.
We have a German language focus with a German speaking teacher weekly.
Parent involvement is encouraged and appreciated. Parents are encouraged to help in a number of different ways including gardening, cooking, material preparation or sharing other talents and skills and supporting other Kindergarten activities.
We have a lending library for children and a reference library of books for adults to borrow.
